From Fátima: Tomar Knights Templar & Convent of Christ, Almourol Castle

Itinerary Description

Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Fátima. Travel in a private comfortable vehicle to the UNESCO-listed Convent of Christ, the headquarters of the Knights Templar. Explore the fortress-convent at your own pace, taking in its famous cloisters and the iconic Manueline Window.

Before reaching the Convent, we will pass by the Aqueduct of Pegões to take photos of this 6-kilometer-long stone marvel, away from the usual tourist stops.

After visiting the Convent of Christ and Knights' Templar, we will head to the historic center of Tomar. Enjoy free time for lunch and see the charming churches lining the cobblestone streets.

Finally, we'll visit the Almourol Castle, situated on a rocky islet in the middle of the Tagus River. Take a small local boat to reach the island and explore the ramparts in the afternoon.
